The BSBI is engaged in a programme of digitization of its publications, dating from the mid 19th century to the present day. The complete archive of the Watsonia publication is available online. Other publications that will in time be fully digitised include: Botanical Exchange Club reports, BSBI conference reports, BSBI News, Irish botanical News, BSBI Welsh bulletin. Digitised content currently dates from 1917 but the majority of available material dates from the 1980s onward. A database is available to enable literature searching of publications on British & Irish plants in the 20th century. Also available is a full digitised copy of Simpson, N.D. 1960 'A Bibliographical Index of the British Flora'. This now rare work provides a comprehensive listing of sources of botanical information relating to the British Isles
