Herbaria@home is a ground-breaking new approach to digitising and documenting the archives of the UK's herbaria. This site provides a web-based method for documenting herbarium sheets and encourages users to register as volunteers to assist with ongoing documentation activities. 16397 herbarium specimens have been documented so far with information being given about taxon, collector, locality and institution. It is possible to view a digitised images by 'hovering' over the fields in the database table.Sets of sheets have already been fully documented from the following institutions Manchester MuseumShrewsbury School, Cambridge University, National Museums Liverpool, Oxford University, National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin.
