This site gives access to ePIC (Electronic Plant Information Centre), a set of botanical databases from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Data sets currently available include living collections, Kew Record of taxonomic literature, the International Plant Names Index (IPNI) and SEPASAL a database of vascular plant species of the tropical and sub-tropical drylands. The database may be searched by genus or species name. Full entries can be viewed via the component databases. The site also provides links to a number of related Web projects. ePIC has received UK government support via the Capital Modernisation Fund.
