The Digital Initiatives Team is responsible for:
* Planning and implementing the digitization of unique collections in the Purdue Libraries' archives and special collections, and making them accessible.
* Utilizing EAD (Encoded Archival Description) to make the contents of finding aids for archival and special collections available in major bibliographic databases, as well as through the Purdue Libraries web site and a future digital (institutional) repository.
* Utilizing standards and best practices, developing workflows and informing and developing expertise for future digital initiatives within the Libraries.
