International institute of social history, The Netherlands
The International Institute of Social History (IISH) maintains a collection, conducts research and offers a range of services in the field of national and international social history in general and labour history in particular. Since 2005, it has in addition assumed the traditional function of the Netherlands Economic History Archive in stimulating economic historical research. The Institute is also in charge of the collection of the Netherlands Press Museum and holds the 'classical' library of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (or KNAW by its Dutch acronym).
