Österreichische Mediathek, Austria
The Austrian Mediathek (OeM) is a part of the Technical Museum in Vienna. Our audiovisual archive contains about 1 million sound records and videos about Austrian culture and history. OeM archives about 300.000 sound carriers und video carriers in different formats. We started in the year 2000 with digitizing of our collections into digital formats. It makes access easier to all records and this activity will also preserve the information from the carriers to future users.
